Dr. Thomas A. Chaney, DC

Dr. Tom Chaney a native of Maryland and the founder and co-owner of Living Health Integrative Medicine. He is the co-author of the best-selling books Lose the Gluten, Lose Your Gut. Ditch the Grain, Save Your Brain and Defeat Diabetes.  Dr. Chaney is a renowned speaker on holistic health and a regular guest on the morning show, Great Day Washington.  He graduated from the University of Maryland with a major in Kinesiology. Dr. Chaney attended the New York Chiropractic College where he received awards for clinical excellence and was on the Dean’s List. Dr. Tom has received advanced post-graduate training in functional medicine and functional nutrition.  He is committed to helping patients achieve optimal health naturally through the use of an integrative holistic healthcare model. Dr. Chaney also dedicates himself to remaining current with the most exciting developments in the field, spending time with like-minded providers at conferences and seminars. Dr. Chaney has become a respected member of the profession with a national reputation for dedication to helping the public improve their health naturally. In his spare time, Dr. Chaney enjoys being outdoors and active.  He spends time hiking, traveling, fishing, and biking.


Dr. Stephanie J. Chaney, DC

Dr. Stephanie Chaney grew up in Ottawa Canada and is the co-owner of Living Health Integrative Medicine.  She is a leader in the integrative health field, sharing her knowledge with practitioners and the public.  Dr. Chaney is a renowned speaker on holistic health and regular guest on the morning show, Great Day Washington.  She has also been featured as a guest natural health expert on FOX, ABC and NBC.  She is the co-author of the best-selling books Lose the Gluten, Lose your Gut. Ditch the Grain, Save your Brain and Defeat Diabetes.  She graduated from the University of Ottawa with a B.S. in Kinesiology. She attended the New York Chiropractic College and received her doctorate degree with honors. Dr. Chaney has received advanced post-graduate training in functional medicine and functional endocrinology, including Institute of Functional Medicine certified in the treatment in Reversing Cognitive Decline. The Governor appointed Dr. Steph to the Maryland Chiropractic Board of Examiners in 2007. Currently, Dr. Steph focuses her treatment time practicing functional medicine, helping patients with various health challenges reverse their conditions with nutritional, lifestyle and supplement therapy. She is a dynamic health advocate who speaks to organizations and community groups about holistic wellness.


Carla Hunnicutt, CNS

Chiropractic Annapolis MD Carla Meet The Team

Carla is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) with a master's degree in nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Nutrition. As a member of the American Nutrition Association (ANA), her passion lies in functional nutrition, specifically by empowering people to nourish themselves with foods that will enhance their overall sense of well-being. A Georgia native, Carla enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and gardening. She also loves reading and listening to audiobooks and podcasts about all aspects of wellness, including physical, mental, and spiritual health. Her journey into holistic nutrition started with her own health issues that she successfully managed through education (and practice and perseverance!), which inspired her to offer the same service to others.


Haley Mushrush, FNP-BC

Haley grew up in North Carolina and earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. She continued her education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte earning her Master's of Science in Nursing in 2007.

Haley is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner as well as a certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and Forensic Nurse Examiner. Haley is also an Adjunct Professor of Nursing at Anne Arundel Community College. Additionally, Haley volunteers as the Medical Director at a faith based non-profit organization where she spends her summers working in medical clinics throughout Africa and training healthcare providers in tropical medicine.

Haley decided to make the switch to Integrative Medicine after personally having health problems that she was able to improve through Living Health's Integrative approach. In her free time, Haley enjoys traveling, homeschooling, and spending time with her 6 children, husband and dogs.


Andrea Dirks, FNP

Chiropractic Annapolis MD Andrea DirksAndrea is a native of Maryland who moved to South Carolina to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University in 2018. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022. While working as a COVID ICU nurse, Andrea recognized the growing need for self-care practices. She began her Nurse Practitioner career in aesthetics and is now excited to transition to integrative medicine for a more holistic approach to medicine and patient wellness. In her free time, Andrea enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband and their Golden Retriever.
